Hi I'm trying to create a network between three computers and I am having difficulties trying to make them communicate to each other. I'll list the setup i have first: Desktop - HP on Windows Vista (comp name: Youneed-MainComp) Logon name: Youneed / Password: (none) Laptop 1 - Acer on Windows 7 (comp name: Youneed-Laptopa) Logon name: Youneed / Password: (none) Laptop 2 - Acer on Windows 7 (comp name: Youneed-Laptopb) Logon name: Youneed / Password: (none) All on same workgroup name: WORKGROUP Cable - Shaw on Motorola Modem Router - D-link DIR-601 Setup: Shaw Motorola Modem is connected to the router via ethernet cable, Desktop is also connected to the router via ethernet cable on port 1; Laptop 1 and Laptop 2 both connect to the network wirelessly thru wi-fi. I've followed the faq on this section and try to get them to communicate with each other. the "Using sharing wizard" in the view tab in folder option is also unchecked. I've thusfar gone to the point where the network is created and that they see each other. However, when i try to access from any one of the computer, windows will give off this message "Windows cannot access \\xxx\xxx\ something like you do not have permission to access, please contact the network admin blah blah blah" I've been searching everywhere on the internet trying to find a solution and had no luck so far. I'm in the stage of pulling my hair out and can't seems to get this whole thing to work. Your help is greatly appreciated,
